Note: Turtle Island is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization which means that all income earned goes to covering the expenses associated with running a high quality center: staff salaries, children's equipment and materials, building and grounds maintenance, cleaning, etc. We also rely on the generous donations of community members and the fundraising efforts of our board of directors.

TUITION

Tuition is based on the required adult/child ratio. The amount is based on your child's age as of September 1st and will not change on the child's birthday, 

DEPOSIT (for initial enrollment only)

A $200 deposit and a signed enrollment contract are required to hold a child's space. The deposit is refundable with 30 days written notice of withdrawal if the account is paid in full on the child's last day. Otherwise, it is forfeited.

BILLING AND PAYMENTS

Turtle Island has contracted with the FACTS tuition payment system.  Tuition is charged starting on your child's first contracted day.  Tuition is due on the first of the month, in advance of care. Please see the FACTS link for more detailed information.

TWO CHILD DISCOUNT

Families with 2 or more children receive a 5% tuition discount for the oldest child.

TUITION ASSISTANCE

The State of Vermont provides tuition assistance for families with demonstrated financial need.

Child Care Aware of America provides tuition assistance for military families. Ask us for more information.

UNIVERSAL PRE-K

Turtle Island Children’s Center is a prequalified prekindergarten program. Through Act 166 we contract with local school districts to provide school-based, publicly funded preschool. For more information, please contact your local school district. Your child must be 3 years old by September 1st to receive funding.
